World Wildlife Fund
World Wildlife Fund Canada (WWF-Canada) was founded in 1967 by Senator Alan
MacNaughton, and has become one of the country's leading conservation
organizations, enjoying the active support of more than 150,000 Canadians.
As a member of the WWF global network, it actively contribute to the
achievement of the organization's mission:
To stop the degradation of the planet's natural environment and to
build a future in which humans live in harmony with nature, by:
-conserving the world's biological diversity,
-ensuring that the use of renewable natural resources is
sustainable,

Since 1990, the David Suzuki Foundation has worked to find ways for society
to live in balance with the natural world that sustains us. Focusing on four
program areas – oceans and sustainable fishing, climate change and clean energy,
sustainability, and the Nature Challenge - the Foundation uses science and
education to promote solutions that conserve nature and help achieve

organization has developed projects that encourage individuals to

Action Communiterre
Action Communiterre is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering
social solidarity, promoting local food security and improving access to healthy
produce through collective gardening and other urban agriculture projects. In
keeping with a vision of sustainable development, Action Communiterre also
engages in a variety of activities designed to raise public awareness of the
value of community-based food production and distribution.

The
Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society
The Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society has been Canada's voice
for wilderness since 1963. With creative ideas, scientific research
and the help of thousands of volunteers and employees,
CPAWS has played an important role in the protection of over 45
million hectares through Canada.
CPAWS is a non-profit organization that achieves its goals through
education and cooperation with environmental groups, First Nations,
government, industries and local communities.
CPAWS has 13 local chapters throughout the country and a national
office in Ottawa.
CPAWS Quebec was founded in 2001. Our focus is the establishment of
a true network of protected areas throughout the province, the
protection of the boreal forest and the good management of existing
parks and protected areas.
