Buriti Palm Clutch Purse
Made of buriti palm straw and banana tree straw
The buriti palm, frequently referred to as the "tree of life", grows throughout central Brazil and the southern Amazon basin.
This clutch handbag steeps in natural elegance, in a very fine fibre called palha de buriti, taken from the buriti palm, found mainly in the north-eastern part of Brazil. The fibre is extracted without causing any damage to the tree. Artisan women in the northeast weave the fibres that are painted in vivid colors, embroidered and transformed in handbags.
The buriti palm straw and banana tree straw bag is woven entirely by hand.
Inside, the bag is lined and closes with a magnetic button.
