Ata grass handbag, Summer Scallops

A scalloped edge adds whimsy to an informal summer handbag. Ketut Wida weaves the piece by hand from ata grass, a durable grass that thrives on the islands of Indonesia. Dried and treated extensively, the fibre is burnished to accentuate its natural tones.
